  1. I live in Pacific Beach.
Just before SDCC kicked off on the 23rd…….The "powers to be" dumped off a load of homeless into my neighborhood. Currently, I am seeing them disappearing. They'll be back. We're just on a reprieve.
This is a reoccurring practice for San Diego << shuffling the homeless around.

***I also notice that they had some stragglers left behind near the convention center. << The Powers To Be didn't get them all

  2. san diego has BEEN elitist. sd is known for really snobby and entitled people. san dooshego. everybody thinks theyre a big fish in a little pond out here. really just a bunch of amoeba in a puddle. also san diegans eat hype for breakfast lunch and dinner. you dont have to be cool to be popular either. its almost as if being a dooshy dirtbag with a cool jacket is a requirement for being popular and liked. its weird bunch of herd people

  3. I like the SDCC because I am collector of 1/6 figures but I hate the long lines and how crowded is the whole San Diego Convention Center, it is too small now for the Comic-con. Too many bloody lines inside and outside, it is annoying as hell. The food is bad and very expensive and there is not enough areas to eat and most important areas to take rest, benches, chairs and points to recharge your cell phones.
Yes, there are homeless but you are safe if you are in safe areas like in any city in the world.
I went to the SDCC many times but I never ever will make those lines, I do not have the patience to make lines for an exclusive Collectible, to watch a trailer or actors, specially these days that Hollywood is rotten with the woke cancer.
The San Diego Convention center needs to be rebuilt and put it for 1, 2 or 3 years in Los Angeles in a bigger Convention center or maybe keep it in San Diego and make it in the Petco Park!
The past year I met Nerdrotic, we talked a little, he just visited my country Peru, nice guy, greetings for all of you guys!

  4. the VIP passes from the studio's took over and left real fan's that waited literally more than WAAAYYY TOO LONG and comic con does NOT care because they already have everyone's money

  5. SDCC has become so crazy over the years. I attended in the 20teens and finally just stopped going. It was too hard to get tickets and getting into panels was insane. I remember the lines for the Hobbit panels were wrapping around the building and went down the road to the water front. Same for Twilight. The line crossed the road and a lady was afraid she was losing her spot and dashed across the road and got hit by a truck. It was pure insanity.

  6. I love the gangsta rapper security guard. Where did they find him in Compton? Where are all the children? Oh I forgot the adults are, the children at comic con.

  7. I think I went to one of the best SDCC in 2014. Hall H line was amazing, I still have friends from there today, and I did have to sleep out on the grass with my hotel pillow to get in. I was there from 4pm the night before, we were woken at 6am to be given bands, then went in at 10am. I've never understood why Hall H is so badly run for wristbands, sounds like it's even worse now. I slept on my SDCC bag on concrete to get into the X-Files anniversary panel in another hall, because I was competing with Dr Who fans who had the panel on before in the same room that morning. I cosplayed, went to lots of panels, met artists, great weather. There was so much entertainment. It was the only SDCC Id been to.
At one Star Wars celebration I didn't even need to show my medical certificate to avoid GA lines. I told them Id come out of hospital and they gave me a lanyard, and I bypassed so many lines. I was unwell but had people looking at me weirdly that I was getting past them, and I don't blame them. I carried my medical records with me just in case someone wanted to start something.

  8. What the hell are you talking about? Not safe? Home encampments? I was there I was first in line on Saturday Hall H. Hall H is too small for the amount of people there. 135000 and a 6500 hundred seat stadium does not work.

  9. I walked into the Spaceballs panel only waiting 1 hour. No wristband, no camping. The problem isn’t Hall H, the problem is Marvel.

  10. How are you gonna do ticketed Hall H? One ticket per panel? So they clear and refill the room after each panel? That would take hours each day. So then do you just do one big panel at the end of the day then? Point being: there are no easy solutions.

The reason the floor was packed all 4 days is because of lack of offsites. Those are normally people-eaters.

  11. If you want to fix Hall H, stop letting people camp out in there all day. Clear everyone out of the hall between each panel and bring in a new group of people.

  12. MARVEL BROUGHT 400 EXTRA PEOPLE? Booooooo. Marvel needs to make good with beaucoup gift bags. That’s horsesh*t. You know people were waiting from THE NIGHT BEFORE to get in and one you tube vid the line went for MILES OUTSIDE the convention and people waited for hours in the sun and humidity.

  13. Getting into Hall H between 2000-2006 was a cake walk. I never had a problem getting into Hall H on Saturday. People waited in line all night for the Twilight and Iron Man panels. I gave up around 2009. Thank you for acknowledging this. I've been saying this since that happened. Now, i can't get VIP press badges. I would go for years as an guest. I would run into talent on the dealers floor in the good old days. Gene Simmons, Tarantino, Gerard Way, Sid Haig and way more would just peruse through tables and you could talk to them without them getting mobbed. Fuck SDCC.

  14. They’ve ALWAYS been for profit.. the just used it as a tax shelter. They are making 10K+ off the exhibitors for booth rentals size depending so ya….been for profit for a couple of decades.

I feel that similar to anime expo, they over sold. The fire marshal needs to start keeping count. Put those counting turnstiles in and let’s see the real numbers.

  15. No more wrist bands , clear the hall after every panel or every other panel . Comic con is not going to do anything , I saw a video lady saying she’s to the Comic-Con people not coming back next year because of what happened in hall h guess what comic con don’t care I hundreds of people would gladly take her spot next year given a chance.

  16. We stopped going years ago when it became a nightmare to get tickets and hotel rooms. In the last couple years of us going, Marvel/Warner Bros. secured whole hotel room blocks of the closest hotels for their people that pushed out us regular attendees. I knew someone who worked for a subsidiary of WB so had a WB email address. They were able to get a room because they registered with that email address. The rest of us were left scrambling. After we wound up with a hotel room in La Jolla, we were done with SDCC.

  17. I did private security for almost 20 years at ComicCon. (Haven't been back since the pandemic) I'm not sure what's changed since I haven't worked it since 2019. But during my 20 years there was an improvement year over year at how Hall H was managed. They were very strict with the studios back then on how they used the VIP creds. It was always a battle to get creds for security because of how strict they were with the studios.

I think after the pandemic the studios started pushing back on how they were treated by the Con. Also, the Con started controlling every aspect of personnel, not letting anyone bring private security. Every contractor has to be approved and hired by them. A lot of the personnel hired to manage these crowds are temp workers and there's not really accountability when you hire temp workers.

  18. No way I'd pay for any of that BS just to be able to say I heard the news about Marvel (a failing franchise) a day before the rest of the world. And you wanna talk about elitism? welcome to socialism kiddos! Where the elite are elevated higher than in capitalism. End Rant.

  19. its 2026 and they still have people lining up. raffle off the seats for every badge holder and a plus 1, random reserved seating, empty the hall every announcement. would definitely suck not getting picked, but i would rather get the rejection early on so i can do something else rather than to waste the whole day to only be told i still cant go in.

  20. this crap is total clickbait, overreactions to everything, wow what a shitshow this video is! I've been going to the Con since the early 90's, so I'm pretty comfortable with what I'm talking about. This video is typical internet hate, I couldn't even finish watching it. And dude references Michael Tuck and Ted Leitner, those guys haven't been on the local news in decades and I am pretty sure both are no longer living…wtf?!?! If you're watching this, know this is just internet hate, some truth, but mostly BS for the clicks & likes.

  21. 9:45 establishes the problem was Marvel bringing in too many undocumented "VIP guests" and filling the hall H to the point paying attendees could not get in.
Immediately starts demanding an ap that wouldn't even scratch the problem let alone fix it
Historically there IS a fix for this already. You limit the number of "VIP Guests" to a reasonable number and if the company refuses to listen they don't get ANY "VIP Guests"
